mission statement:

      Since I've moved to San Diego from Virginia in 1995, I have had the opportunity to play with many great musicians in various projects in jazz, funk, reggae, and blues.  Throughout these years, I have found a group of young, inspirational freelance musicians with whom to play an energetic playbook of uplifting jazz/funk creations.  The result is an uplifting music experience that gives the audience a healthy glow of the good times that jazz can communicate to all.  With  your support, the "Viani Quartet" can help introduce many other potential listeners to the local music scene and enhance music and arts in the San Diego community.
